Default Interviewing while not sick but unwell

It's pretty obvious you should reschedule if you are sick with something like the flu.

But what should you do if, for example, you have a bad case of allergies? My face is very swollen, especially around my eyes, and I have a runny nose. It's somewhat gross and the swollen face is not attractive, perhaps even unprofessional-looking. Although there's also a chance I'm seeing myself in more detail than others care to and they wouldn't notice at all.

I wouldn't be on the top of my interview game. I feel pretty bad. But I'm not really "sick" sick and I'm not contagious.

Should I reschedule, so I can feel and look better for the interview?
Go, and explain why my eyes are puffy and wrinkled?
Go, don't explain and power through it?

If you will be over it soon, reschedule.

I had a cold when I interviewed once. I brought a hankie, warned people I had a cold, and didn't shake hands (explaining why I didn't shake hands).

The cold wasn't that bad, but I didn't need to give it to somebody else.

I didn't do any overly long explanations. I just told them I had a cold.

To provide a helpful response, the right answer for this can go a lot of different ways. If you know who you are interviewing with, do you know anything about them personally that might lead you to believe they can conduct an interview and pay attention to you and not be grossed out by what is going on?

Be sure to tell them upfront: I'm not not crazy, I'm just a little unwell. I know right now you can't tell. But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see a different side of me.
