I'm past where I thought I would ever be in life, so I'm just taking it one day at a time now. I'm getting involved with CAS activities, exploring new rotations, etc. Running an analytics department or becoming a more specialised expert seems attainable in the near future.

I would like to maybe own a company or run a business someday, but I won't beat myself up if that never happens.

Get a paycheck. Enjoy my job enough to not dread doing it. Feel challenged but not stressed. Retire at some point before I’m forced to.

I finally feel completely happy in life and I want to ride that wave as long as possible. And my happiness has nothing to do with my job, so my career ambitions are minimal.

Well, I actually took a bit of a leap for me a little over a year ago. What I want to do is find something more like my old job within my company. I realized after being in this job now for over a year that I was actually pretty content in my old job, it was a good use of my skills and abilities, and I wasn't nearly as stressed. I have been at this for 26+ years now. I know what I like doing and what I don't like doing, and I just want to do something I like or am fairly decent at until I hit 55 and can retire. I like my company, but I am ready to stop the grind of commuting, etc. and there is no way I am advancing up a level at this point, and I probably wouldn't want to. The money at my level now is pretty good and I am close to fulfilling a lot of obligations financially that will allow a lot more flexibility. At 55, I would like to simply find something close to home to occupy my time and make a few bucks. I would also like to be involved more in some other things - I am thinking of becoming like a referee for youth sports or something like that. It is something I have been involved in on the coaching side for like 15 years. I enjoy youth sports and it would be a good way to occupy my time.

As someone early in his career, I just want to get done with exams, get married and enjoy life by traveling the world.

Pie in the sky aspiration: start a reinsurance company.

If I had a million dollars, I'd relax, I would sit on my ass all day, I would do nothing.
