So what's the study material for this? Just TIA?

Actuarial Bookstore has ACTEX as the only alternative, which I've never trusted.

I'm hoping Goldfarb updates his manual. He posted here last year suggesting that he was working on a 2017 version.

His website already has it ready for 2018 it seems. Only $200. I'll probably out-of-pocket that one and have TIA reimbursed.

Anyone know if this softcover version of BKM is the same as what's on the syllabus? https://www.amazon.com/Investments-1...oding=UTF8&me=

The cover is different, but also $20 instead of $320.

Itís the Indian edition (thatís the symbol in the top right). I got this on EBay, probably from the same seller, except they didnít bother to change the picture. Trying to get a refund. Iíll take a closer look when I get home, because I only glanced through and noticed the format is significantly different than the text, and hadnít compared the actual content to the U.S. version.

As a warning, I wanted a refund outright because I felt I had been mislead, and the seller refused to refund me through EBay.

That's what I was afraid of. It's a syllabus reading so I should be able to get my employer to reimburse it anyway.

I just hate having to put $300+ into their pockets for a goddamn textbook out of principle.

I ended up buying the "2018" Goldfarb manual and it's still only the 2016 edition available for download. I've tried contacting him and we'll see if he gets back to me about whether or not it's getting updated.

FWIW, I bought an international edition of the book for $67+$5 s/h on CollegeXpres. They claim their book is identical, except for the cover.
I haven't received it yet, but when I do, I'm not sure how I can check if it's really identical if I don't have the original...
SkolChicago, how did you determine that the book you bought was different?
